Special Context Menu Items For Directory Comparison Panes

  • Save Snapshot
Save a snapshot of the directory in the active pane into a user-specified XML file. Snapshots may optionally contain CRCs of files and/or versions of executable files and DLLs (but choosing these options will slow down creation of a snapshot).

  • Refresh Snapshot
Refresh a snapshot of the directory in the active pane by updating the contents of the snapshot file.

  • View/Edit
Spawn an external program specified in the External editor field for the selected file in the active pane.

  • Open Containing Folder

  • Hide
    • Hide
Hide the selected item(s) and the matching item(s) in the opposite pane from view. No recomparison is necessary - the items are hidden immediately. The hidden items are shown again upon recomparison.

    • Hide All But This/These
Hide all items except for the selected item(s) and the matching item(s) in the opposite pane from view. The hidden items are shown again upon recomparison.

    • Undo Last Hide Action
Undo the last Hide or Hide All But This/These operation.

  • Copy to OTHER Directory
Copy currently selected files/directories to directory in the other (not currently active) pane. If directories are copied, all their files/directories will be copied.

  • Copy to THIS Directory
Copy files/directories with the same names as currently selected ones in the active pane from directory in the other (not currently active) pane. If directories are copied, all their files/directories will be copied. Note that this command is disabled if Allow to copy files TO and FROM in directory comparison option in Directory Comparison Options is not selected.
